Scrap Matrix Mood Board Challenge - My Creative Mess!!

Hi Everyone,

I am here with you today to share with you my first official design team post.

Have you you seen our beautiful mood board for the challenge this month? we would love you to all join in. Thanks to Vicki, our challenge winner will win a voucher to the Scrap Matrix store where you will be able to choose some wonderful crafting items for yourself.

Take a little look at the mood board and feel inspired......

We would all love to see where you create, where is your space? where is your happy crafting zone?

All entries can be shared via the Scrap Matrix Shares Facebook page, we have an album ready for you there to upload your images.  I am very much looking forward to seeing your entries and letting us all share our creative spaces together.

Now, I am pleased (and a little ashamed) to show you my 'Creative Mess' (literally). I am the sort of lady that has a pristine house but when it comes to my craft studio it is a MESS and very very big mess. I attempt to keep this space tidy, but well, it just doesn't work too well. My inner piglet is released here and I have learnt to deal with the fact that my messy side has to be released somewhere.

When we moved from the sea side up to the Perth hills we were fortunate enough to purchase a home that previously had an at home daycare attached. This room was quickly converted to my craft studio. It does have the potential to look like this when I get in the mood to clean it (I will be honest, it is rare it looks like this).

Ok, lets get back to my layout now. This month I had the pleasure of working with the 7 Dots Studio 'Fortune Teller' collection.  What a seriously amazing collection, there are just so many amazing elements here to work with, lots to fussy cut, lots to layer. There is just so much versatility with this beautiful collection. It was an absolute pleasure to create with.

Below you will see fussy cut papers, layered tags, cut Scrap Matrix metal embellishments, vintage sheet music, metallic string, German Scrap, chipboard and lace. Never be afraid to experiment, with different combinations.

With a good strong pair of scissors you can cut your metal embellishments and often turn them into something else.

Scrap Matrix products used for this project include.....

7 Dots Studio Fortune Teller Charted 12" Paper
7 Dots Studio Fortune Teller Palmistry 12" Paper
7 Dots Studio Fortune Teller Soul 12" Paper
7 Dots Studio Fortune Teller Tarot 12" Paper
7 Dots Studio Fortune Teller Element Stickers
7 Dots Studio Wild At Heart Flair Buttons
7 Dots Studio Fortune Teller Paper Tags
Scrap Matrix Chipboard Steampunk Chain Rings
Scrap Matrix Brass Flower Large 2
Scrap Matrix Brass Flower Large 3
German Scrap Renaissance Petite Black

Thank you for looking, I look forward to sharing more with you soon.

I wish you all a happy and create day.

  1. Congratulations on your new DT, Rebecca! Fabulous and beautiful, I am not only wowed by your project, but find myself drooling over your amazing craft room! Lovely, cheerful colors and such a long work surface! My inner piglet escapes in my stamp room, too. You’re not alone! Thanks for sharing! xx
