Showcasing Lumiere Paints - Flying Unicorn

Hello Everyone!!

Rebecca here with you today to share a couple of projects which have both been hand painted with Lumiere paints by Jacquard. These paints come in a huge range of stunning metallic colors.  An extremely versatile paint which can be easily used on fabric, leather, paper, metal, photographs and wood. The shimmer and shine that comes from this paint is just beautiful. Ok as you can tell, I truly love these paints, I really could go on all day about them, however I shall now shhhh and introduce you to my projects.

I have used exactly the same process to create both pieces. The basic idea is to glue metal embellishments onto the item you wish to alter, a coat of glue, stick down a sheet of strong aluminum foil, push the aluminum foil around your embellishments, paint, rub'n buff and then seal. I realise this does not explain things too well and I hope to make a quick tutorial for you all to follow up this post very shortly. It is very easy to replicate this look, you will be very surprised.

Here is my altered tag....

And an altered box, this box was retrieved from our trash.....and now look at it? Trash to treasure!!

Below is a little experiment I thought I would try. I have had a metal butterfly hanging outside on my wall for quite a wall, it was pretty, yet a little dull. Here is what it looked like previously.

And after a quick (and I do mean QUICK) paint job with Lumiere paints and a little Rub'nBuff here is what my butterfly looks like now.

It is very hard for me to show you the true sparkliness of this upgraded butterfly, it now all shimmery and sparkly. If it was not pouring with rain today here I would go outside and snap a photo in full sunshine.

If you have any questions at all please be sure to ask them in the 'What's new in the Flying Unicorn Store' forum thread.

Wishing you all a very happy and creative week.
