Scrapbookit - May Design Team Work

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

Back again to bring you a few more projects created with the absolutely stunning 'Weekend Market' range by Bo Bunny. My design team kit this month was full of wonderful papers from this range, it was very hard for me to take them to the paper slicer and start cutting them, alas the tough job was done. Be sure to check out the Scrapbookit store to take a look through this excellent range.

Here is a ribbon box I put together and embellished with stickers, papers, ribbon and a funky little bottle cap. I have used Tim Holtz, Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo to ink to grunge up all the wood. Have you tried Distress Inks? I am not sure where I would be without them.

I also had enough papers and items left to make another layout to show you all. I took some photos and turned them sepia to blend in with the papers. Jo gave me a Kaisercraft lamp post in my kit, I painted this with Artiste Acrylic Pain (Linen), then inked it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. After this all dried I got out my sanding block and roughed it up further.  Photo edges have been distressed, inked and mounted on foam tape.

Thank you all for stopping by for a look, enjoy your Sunday.

Scrapbookit - May Design Team Work

Here are some projects created with the absolutely stunning 'Weekend Market' range by Bo Bunny. Without a doubt this is my favorite range by Bo Bunny to date, I simply love it. It is rich and dark and just fabulous. When I opened my DT kit this month I may have even let out a loud SQUEAL, I was most excited, like a kid in a candy shop (or an adult for that matter). Be sure to check out the Scrapbookit store to take a look through this excellent range.

This month I set the layout challenge for you all and I came up with the following criteria :-
Banners (1 or many)
Stitching (even just a little)
Distressed Edges
Circles
1 x 4” x 6” photo
Please find below my layout for the challenge. I had thought I had finished this layout when I quickly realised it was lacking circles (oh oh). I was very happy to add the corner circles and eyelets, really finished the page off. The photo used is a picture of me (middle) with two of my wonderful friends and was taken in a place called Old Town Spring in Texas, USA.

My lovely fellow DT member Janene has set the card challenge this month and the challenge was to use Pinwheels. You can use any design or theme that you like just as long as you have pinwheels. Here is my card for the challenge, you will see I am more than happy to go out of the normal boundaries of your rectangle card. I am very much a wrap a gift in brown paper and decorate kind of girl, an envelope free card like this and a bit of ribbon over brown paper always looks great.

To share in some of this months fabulous prizes you have until the 14th of June to send your entries through to Joanne. Cannot wait to see all your challenge entries.

I will be back later in the month to bring you an OTP project created again with the Weekend Market range by Bo Bunny.

Wishing you all a happy and creative week.

Scrapbookit - Blooming Wonderful

Hi Everyone! welcome to the weekend, I am back with a layout created as part of my DT work for Scrapbookit

This layout has been created with the gorgeous Country Garden range by Bo Bunny. This range is so pretty and very versatile, it is super fun to work with. How can you not smile when you look at these papers?

I used quite a few different techniques in this project, punching, distressing, fussy cutting, beading, and inking (yes I even inked the flowers to tone down their brightness a little).

I have a problem stopping, I never know when to stop adding, my motto is definitely not 'less is more', it always seems to be 'more is more'. I would seriously struggle with a challenge where I had to use minimal embellishments. Even when I thought I had finished this layout I still kept adding (butterflies and more punched borders).

Thanks for taking the time to look, wishing you all a happy and creative weekend.
