Tim Holtz Image Transfer Tags - Flying Unicorn

Hi Everyone,

Today I  have a couple of tags to share with you . I thought I would 'attempt' an image transfer with the new Tim Holtz Found Relatives. Recently I had seen the blog of the talented Shelly Hickox. Shelly had a step by step tutorial on how to do an image transfer with the found relatives. Looked amazing, so I thought I would give it a shot myself.

Now it kind of worked, it is a little rough looking and the tags are a little shredded. But I am kind of ok with that, I think it adds to the whole look. What do you think?. Lesson learnt though rub too hard and you will start shredding your tag along with your image. Rather than use baby wipes to remove the image glue I used 100% eucalyptus oil, this worked really well (but stay within the confines of the image, unlike I did).

Thanks for looking, I wish you all a happy and creative day.

Tim Holtz Reverse Canvas - Flying Unicorn

Hi Everyone,

I am here today to share with you all a little more Tim Holtz inspired creativeness. This is the first reverse canvas I have ever made, why I have left it so long I really have no idea, such a great way to showcase items. Below you will see I have used an absolute stack of Tim Holtz product, however I have also added a few other bits and pieces from my own stash. As you can see this is super busy but it works, it is like looking into a little box of vintage treasure.

Tim Holtz Folio - Flying Unicorn

Hi Everyone,

I am here today to share with you a decorated Tim Holtz Collection Folio. Let me tell you, when it arrived in my creative team box for Flying Unicorn, boy oh boy I was excited. I had been looking for a creative way to showcase some of my photos from my trip to London last year and this folio was perfect. The creative mojo was in full action and creating this project was such a pleasure, really made me happy.

Have you seen the new Tim Holtz Emphemera packets? wow they are jam packed with gorgeous emphemera. They just keep going and going, I have created two projects with them now and still have some left (yay!). You will see them used throughout my folio below.

I have photographed my folio front, back and then all through the inside in order. My printer went bonkers went I printed my photos, I ended up with streaks. Rather than reprint I decided to use them, it kind of looked cool and fitted in. Enjoy your visual journey through my folio.

By The Sea - Flying Unicorn

Hi Everyone,

Today I have two projects to share with you, both projects created using the stunning By The Sea collection from Graphic 45.

Products Used

The first project I would like to share with you is a multi layered card. I loved putting this together, I had a plan of how I wanted this to look and I was amazed my crazy idea seemed to work. All the layers and folding turned out perfectly. I truly believe it would be hard to mess up with this collection though, the papers flow so well and all the different elements available for your fussy cutting delight are gorgeous.

This photo gives you an idea of dimension...

Here is a photo of the card folded flat...

Couple of close ups...

The second project I would like to share is a folded gift bag, it has been created using two 12 x 12 sheets. I added a handmade layered tag and a flower made with my Tattered Florals die.

Thank you all for looking, I wish you a brilliant and creative day.

Live, Laugh, Love - Art Journaling

Hi Everyone,

Recently I attended an art journal technique class at my local scrapbook store Made With Memories. It was a fabulous class in which we all spent a good three hours learning new techniques and looking at ways to use different products. Below you will see the double page art journal I created in the class.

$7 Shoe Conversion - Flying Unicorn

Hi Everyone,

Yep I am back with another bargain shoe makeover!

Anyone who knows me well enough knows full well I can sniff out a bargain a mile away, blessed with rather large feet I always manage to find my size on the clearance rack at Target. When I spotted these previously black leather numbers for $7 I knew immediately they would be coming home for a makeover. I could have really gone over the top with embellishing these however it would be a shame to never wear them and I want that chance one day.
