Distress Paint Cork Necklace - Flying Unicorn

Hi Everyone,

Today I would like to share with you a little upcycled creation. Where is the upcycled part you may ask? well the little discs are on old sliced up champagne cork. Cork is remarkably an easy product to work with, it was super easy to cut, distress paint went on like a dream, Tim Holtz rub ons took to the cork like a moth to the flame (no joke, much easier than paper). It was a stack of fun thinking outside the box on this project.

Leather Bag Conversion - Flying Unicorn

Hi Everyone,

I am here today with you to share with you a little upcyling project. Recently my husband was super lucky to get upgraded to first class on his Emirates flight, he brought home with him a leather Bvlgari (fancy pants) toiletry bag.

Although very nice....

I wanted it to look nicer, and here is the result....

I decorated the bag with Flying Unicorn Adornments and chipboard watch pieces from Leaky Shed Studio. The beautiful shimmery paint is Lumiere by Jacquard, it went onto the leather like a dream. This then led me to look at my shoes and wonder which ones I would like to paint, dare I take to a pair of leather boots with this paint? yes I think so!!!!.  When it comes to Rub'n Buff I seriously (and I mean SERIOUSLY) cannot seem to help myself, I love that stuff and have used it here in gold to highlite my edges and embellishments. I use it on nearly everything and somehow always manage to rock a gold index finger.

Here are a few more pictures for you...
