Tim Holtz Exploding Box - Flying Unicorn

Hello Everyone,

I am here with you today to share a Tim Holtz inspired exploding box. Ahhh yes it is certainly no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Tim Holtz and all (yes ALL) his products. I find Tim's work so inspirational, always pushes me to think outside the box.

Was a stack of fun creating this little exploding box, a little fiddly but well worth the effort put in. I have covered both the inside and outside of the box with the Idea-Ology Menagerie Paper Stash Paper. I love this paper, it is very versatile.

Dylusions Ink Sprays - Art Journal Page (Flying Unicorn).

Hi Everyone,

When I received my latest edition of Craft Stamper magazine from the UK it had an excellent article on using Dylusions Sprays. This article forced me to get our my sprays and put them to very very good use, many thanks Craft Stamper.  The tutorial inspired me to make the below!

This double page started with a nice coat of black gesso around the boarders. I coated two pieces of card stock with paper, added some lace and embossing paste through a stencil, also got out the dusty sewing machine and applied some crooked lines (something I am good at). After this was dry I applied a very light coat of white gesso and when the gesso was dry I went crazy with my Dylusions Ink Sprays (so crazy in fact that accidentally sprayed my pavement a nice shade of teal, one should think about how windy it is when one starts going crazy with ink - eeeeeep!). To finish I glued my card stock into the journal and then added a few Liquid Pearls and a few drops of Glossy Accents.

Distress Paint Cork Necklace - Flying Unicorn

Hi Everyone,

Today I would like to share with you a little upcycled creation. Where is the upcycled part you may ask? well the little discs are on old sliced up champagne cork. Cork is remarkably an easy product to work with, it was super easy to cut, distress paint went on like a dream, Tim Holtz rub ons took to the cork like a moth to the flame (no joke, much easier than paper). It was a stack of fun thinking outside the box on this project.
