Well the cutting, not quite as hard as you may think. I first modge podged the side of the book sheets (ensuring the front and back covers were cling wrapped first). I used a STACK of modge podge, then left it to dry. I then traced a rectangle on the front page to the size of my cut out. Used a power drill and drilled a small hole (down to nearly the bottom) in each corner. The small hole helps your box cutter knife have a starting point. I then commenced cutting and struggled and shredded heaps of sheets. I recruited my husband and his huge biceps to do the remainder of the cutting, he did the BEST job. At this point I modge podged the inner sheets. I contemplated leaving it looking like that but I did not like the rough look so I lined it with paper and then finished it with tissue tape. Hope this all makes some kind of sense? If you google search, 'how to hollow a book' you will find quite a few tutorials on it. I am going to go for something bigger next time, like an old encyclopedia (small books are a little harder). Good luck and have a great day!!
